SISKY (Sweet Fried Dough Balls)

½ kg plain flour
3 egg yolks
50 g butter
300 ml milk
1 cube of yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt
A shot of rum
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Add the flour, egg, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth, then cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to about 1 cm thickness. Cut out round shapes using a glass or cookie cutter.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Fry the dough until golden brown on both sides.
- Drain the šišky on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm!
