Cicmany Tour description

Departure of the train from Bratislava main train station at 07:55 am. For surcharge possible to book a private transfer to Bratislava train station. Train to Zilina. The journey takes above 2 hours.

After the arrival in Zilina meeting with your driver guide. The guide to waits you at Zilina train station. Afterwards departure to Rajecka Lesna. On the route short basic introduction of Slovakia & particularly region of North – West Slovakia.

First stop is in pilgrimage site Rajecka Lesna. Entrance to wooden creche. The wooden creche of Rajecka Lesna is the biggest in Slovakia. It shows the traditions, landscape and history of Slovakia.

Next, visit a Cicmany, which is one of the most traditional villages of Slovakia. Cicmany is famous thanks to wooden houses painted with white ornaments. It is so called “Cicmany Pattern”. Stroll along the village and explore local unique architecture.

After breaking for lunch & coffee head to spa town Rajecke Teplice. Enjoy 2 hours soaking in the regenerating thermal baths. Explore the SPA built in antic style. Relax in healing water whilst enjoying picturesque views of the Mala Fatra Mountains.

Our last stop will be Zilina. The center of North – West Slovakia. Sightseeing tour of Zilina. Discovering all main highlights during walking tour. Such as: the Holy Trinity Church, squared Marianske Square, Bank’s Palace, Rosenfeld Palace, Catholic House and many more. Moreover discovering the oldest sacral building of Zilina – church of st. Stephan from 11th century.
